For 25 years, SUPERSEAL Dimpled Foundation Membrane has been protecting homes all over North America. It's a plastic dimpled sheet made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plastic that's mechanically fastened to the foundation wall at final grade height.

It's available roll heights of 3'6", 5'0, 6'0, 6'7", 7'4", 7'11" and 8'11".  All rolls are 65.5' long

Permanent Barrier

SUPERSEAL Dimpled Membrane is made from tough, long lasting plastic that keeps exterior moisture out. It prevents backfill material from touching the foundation wall or damaging the waterproof coating. Once installed it can be backfilled right away.

Air Gap & Drainage

The dimples in the membrane create an Air Gap and Drainage Space and keeps 100% of the head water pressure off the face of the wall. This space allows moisture to condensate outward on to the membrane. By gravity, the moisture then falls to the footing drain for removal.

Bridging Foundation Cracks

60% of all foundations experience cracks within the first year of being poured. Because SUPERSEAL Dimpled Membrane is mechanically fastened, the Air Gap created allows the wall to shift, crack, and settle without affecting its amazing performance.

SUPERSEAL Dimpled membrane is ICC & CCMC evaluated for U.S.A. & Canadian building codes. It's backed by a 40 year warranty.

TYPICAL CONCRETE FOUNDATION

STANDARD CONCRETE FOUNDATION INSTALLATION

Tools required

  • Measuring Tape
  • Marker / Chalk line
  • Mastic (seams & overlaps)
  • Nail Gun & Nails
  • 1¼" x 3/16" Tapcon Screws
  • Hammer
  • Screw Gun & screws for ICF's (see ICF instructions)

Calculating materials required

  • Measure from your footing to your finished grade height and lineal feet to be protected.
  • Allow 12" overlaps
  • Select the roll(s) required
  • Select your fastening system, (Premium or Basic)

Premium Fastening System

The Premium System features the enhanced strength of DimpleGrip Molding. As a result, the Premium System uses less fasteners and is recommended for ICF and Block Foundations. In addition, the DimpleGrip Molding can be turned over to also be used on sloping areas.

On average, each roll of membrane will require approximately 2 bundles of DimpleGrip Molding and 2-3 bags of Super Plugs

Basic Fastening System

The Basic System uses Membrane Cap Molding for all horizontal, vertical, and sloping edges. This system uses more fasteners than the Premium System.

On average, each roll of membrane will require approximately 2 bundles of Membrane Cap Molding and 3-4 bags of Super Plugs

Preparing the foundation

Clean the footing of any loose debris with a broom or blower.

Patch all tie holes, rock pockets, honeycombs with SUPERSEAL Mastic or equivalent.
